Hi, I'm Jake Steiner. You probably already know me as the guy who reversed his 5 diopter high myopia, and spent the last 20 years building the best possible system to help reverse your myopia as well.
Oh boy. It's a sales page! Truth is (really, actual truth) that I've spent the last two decades doing 99% of endmyopia for free. Free 1,200+ individual how-to guide posts and explainers and science dissections and progress reports, years and years of cataloging and answering questions and compiling the system. There's also our free 15,000+ member Facebook group (with 2,000+ comments and 6,000+ reactions every month), our free Le Meow forum with 50.000+ monthly page views, our free YouTube channel with over 20.000 subscribers (and now over 7.000.000 - seven million, wow - minutes watched), and all around free everything.
I honestly believed that eventually this would catch on, and the community effort would carry endmyopia and make it something everyone would easily find when wondering about the "genetic bad eyesight". But ... so far that hasn't happened quite to what Jake Ye Ole Idealist would have imagined.
Turns out people don't want 1,200+ DIY posts. People want THE STEPS. Endmyopia resembles a pile of boxes of notes, endless opportunities for nuggets of wisdom. But what I keep getting, over and over and over, is ... Jake, just give me the steps. THA STEEEEEPZZZ, JAAAAKE. And when Google started censoring endmyopia for talking a bit too much about the 100 billion dollar mainstream lens selling industry, I figured that it's finally time to give the people what they want.
So here we have the first attempt at taking the 1,200+ pile of notes and disorganized information, and turning it into a bit of an organized guide. Just the steps, to improving your eyesight. Wishes do come true, darlings.
This is probably the most interesting part about this 11 chapter guide - the fact that while I, Jake Steiner, wrote all of the source material, the actual guide itself is written by people who read all the source material and picked out what they found most useful and actionable.
So you get a guide written by the people who improved their eyesight using my method, using my material, but only the parts they really needed. Aka, THE STEPS.
Admittedly sometimes I'm a bit too close to the topic. Having talked about this for 20 years, and tried endless things, and having dealt with many thousands of individuals, I sometimes miss where you may be at, just starting out. So having a group of people who actually just used my system to improve their eyesight telling you what helped them the most, is really the magic ingredient of this guide.
Because of course your eyes aren't sick or broken. Think of them as being "out of tune" mainly because of the fake focal planes (glasses), a bit too much uncontrolled strain they're exposed to daily.
As I'm writing this, I feel weird. I don't want to sell you something. But I do want to emphatically relate that the thing I was looking for (when I had coke bottles glasses), and what you're looking for now, is actually what you will find right here.
I spent a lot of years trying to figure out my eyesight. High myopia sucks, being handicapped by lacking eyesight sucks, having to compromise on sports, outdoor adventures, even simple things like going to the beach with friends, sucks. And being run round and round by Bates Method and eye exercises and unicorn farming online, really sucks.
Back when I started, there was no Google Scholar, and no serious Internet. It was all about sleuthing around libraries and reading biology books. It took a shocking amount of time to even find clues, nevermind actual answers. Think of that journey back then as the world's largest (and most annoying) puzzle.
This is why I get a bit emphatic and frivolous with the adjectives, when describing our approach. Because I've been there. And I get a million e-mails from people just like yourself, who've tried the eye exercises and the eye vitamins, and the dismissive lectures from optometrists. This is why I do this, because f*ck (pardon the language) all the lies and deceits and making money off symptom treatments and nonsense.
Everybody starts out with the 'treatment'. "Oh, you need glasses." "Oh, try LASIK." "How about these eye drops or these multi-thousand dollar myopia slowing contact lenses." "Want to go unicorn farming? How about these eye exercises and eye vitamins?"
Let's stop with all that. You want to start out with understanding the problem, and then finding a solution addressing causality.
Why are your eyes "bad"? Is it
genetics or just the wrong signals?
Start finding answers in science and
biology that make sense.
Use evidence based approaches and quantifying progress to reduce myopia.
Hopefully I set your expectations properly here so far. Yes, awesome solution. Yes, two decades of work, and tens of thousands of people's collective experiments and trials and errors and yes all of that purported awesomeness. But also, you'll have to put your feet up on that couch, furrow your brows, and do some reading. And assembling.
I'm not sending you to med school. Or even optometry school. Or even making you read through advanced vision biology and optics. But I will explain to you all the why's and how's of the steps. I want you to understand why these things work, and how they work. So that way whenever invariably you'll get stuck somewhere, you'll be able to figure out what happened, and how to correct it. Remember, this is biology we're talking about. It's not always a simple one-size-fits-all, everytime-the-same, scenario.
Yes it's a bit more work up front. But you'll thank me later, when you're not left scratching your head trying to figure out where to find answers.
Also, those 1,200+ posts on endmyopia? After this guide you'll know how to search the site, and find any answers that may not have been covered in the guide. You'll be your own biology ninja!
You often hear me rant about the big issues of this generation. Instant gratification. No effort. Everything is expected to be immediate and easy. Consumption rules, nobody wants to put in the work. Well ... this guide makes you looking like a wizard of biology and optics easier than anyone would believe. Remember, we're compressing decades of experience into an 11 chapter guide. This is pretty hardcore.
Silly names for a very powerful (some may say .. life changing?) solution. Le Rough Guide to a thousand page tome of knowledge and insights, an 11 chapter shortcut, the .... stepppzzz.
First there was nothing. Just ole Jake and biology books. Eventually there was faint light at the end of the tunnel. Jake improving his eyesight. Fast forward to hundreds, then thousands of people doing it. Then guides and how-to's being written. Eventually too many to want to dig through. Then, a group of heroic forum members convene and decide to write the ultimate guide to navigate you through endmyopia.
If you were to print out Le Rough Guide ...
It'd actually not be quite that many pages, don't worry. That includes print-outs of all the various links and related posts and things you may (or may not) end up referencing.
All you need is the core 11 chapters, the rest is entirely free (and up to you).
If you are in our Facebook group, you've probably already seen hundreds of these.
And equally me gloating about it on the site.
But let's take this opportunity ...
.... to gloat some more.
Does it ever get old?
Nope. Not if you're awesome, it doesn't.
Realistically though, being on this page you already know of all of this.
From your favorite old imaginarily bearded eye guru, genuinely passionate and less motivated by money, and not using this to fund his fancy lifestyle. I want you to get results, and I want others to be able to find and use these resources as well.
So help me help you (barf!) and also help others by funding the further development and exposure of endmyopia as a resource. For less than the cost of a pair of glasses, you'll be well on your way.
And make all the 20/20 gains in the process!
NEW: Guide is now available with 30+ member exclusive pro topic videos. If you enjoy the YouTube videos, this will be a major extra benefit.

The Rough Guide sign-up is available after the free 7 Day e-mail course. To make sure you get the most out of this guide, you will want to do the free 7-day e-mail course first. It may be all you need - or you may want to also get this more detailed guide. I will send you a link with an option to sign-up for the Rough Guide once you complete the free 7 day e-mail course.
Do you want the pro topic videos as well? Entirely optional, since the Rough Guide will absolutely get you on the right track. I do (as of this writing) have over 30 pro topic videos added for you though, covering frequently asked questions, tweaks, troubleshooting, and other interesting nitty gritty details that may help you on your journey.
Around $1 per video. And I do keep making more.
How many hundreds of dollars do they try to charge you at the optic shop, anyway?
And let's not even compare anything to the cost of LASIK, and how you'd have permanent lenses laser sliced into your eyes for life. With strongly possible side effects that'll be irreversible, and you'll probably need glasses again a few years later, regardless. Sure that could just be justifying a price, but mostly I want you to have some context when you're buying symptom treatments, vs. actionable answers to a fixable problem.
Lots more reviews about us on Trustpilot (even though I'm not all that great about asking participants for reviews).
Remember to leave your own review one day, after you made some great gains!
Creator of endmyopia
Jake is a terrible person from the world of finance and in desperate need of karma points. Teaching better eyesight and advocating for experiencing life rather than watching it on a screen, hopefully making for some better karma.
And while you probably know me for a lot of rants and dubious sarcasm, I really do want a more rewarding life for all of us. A life not lived behind silly and pointless glasses.
This is the real sticking point. If all you're going to do is throw some money at the screen, buy the guide and then let it sit in the virtual drawer, then what's the point. First question should be, what are you going to do with better eyesight? New hobbies? Things you would love to do, but glasses wouldn't let you? Take stock of how you spend your free time, maybe revise some of the bad and useless (content consuming) habits?
Because you're only going to do all this if you have a proper reason to. Take this from me, a guy who's watched tens of thousands of people improve their eyesight. Most successful are always those who want or need their eyes, or have a bigger plan for what they'll do with 20/20 vision.
This isn't Instagram life. This is real. You'll actually have to sit down and learn things, and measure your eyesight, and look at how possibly bad your current work setup is, how much strain you're unnecessarily exposing yourself to. Will you make that time?
Yes sure, you can get through the whole guide in a weekend. But will you apply it? Will you be making the choices and changes of a person who doesn't need glasses?
What's your state of mind? Quick fix or self improvement? Consumption or creation? Starting out here, literally changing how you see the world around you, or continue trusting the vendors of shitty quick fix products to keep you in a forever-subscription to your own eyesight?

Start With The Free 7-Day E-Mail Course. The free 7-day e-mail course is the right place to start learning about your eyesight. It may be all you need - and if you still want more help after that, I’ll send you a link to sign-up for the Rough Guide course after that.
This one is simple. You either love the guide and it was money well spent, or if you think otherwise you just e-mail me, and I send you a full refund. I make my own money in the stock market, what you spend on endmyopia is for the resource - if it fails you, you're not expected to pay. Very straightforward. This guarantee is for 60 days from purchase (because payment processors make it kind of a pain to issue refunds past a couple months window).
The guide is delivered in an online course
format. The system will send you login
details once you complete the sign-up.
Le Rough Guide doesn't include one-on-one
support. For that you'll want BackTo20/20,
which is currently invite only.
Unfortunately we're unable to accept
participants from Hong Kong. Not our
choice!
No. Nothing is definite. But it's quite
likely that you'll have success.
Since BackTo20/20 includes my personal
support, I only have limited availability. If
I have openings, I'll let you know.
Course access is lifetime, no restrictions.
P.S.: If you want more 1) structure (84+ individual lessons) and 2) one-on-one support with me directly, check out the full BackTo20/20 program. It's a few steps beyond the Rough Guide in terms of a structured approach - if you are serious about reversing your myopia and want the most detailed system to do it, it's worth checking out:
Copyright - endmyopia
Reducing myopia and lens dependence isn’t that hard. Sure it has a learning curve and you’ll have to figure things out. For the most part though, it’s a straightforward process in most cases.
Till you get to the last diopter.
That‘s where things aren’t as simple, for some. Yes, the same principles apply. Outdoor time. Active focus. Limit screen time. Patience. Often enough that’s all you need to eventually get past the past diopter to real 20/20 eyesight without any need for corrective lenses.
Often but not always. And if you are STILL wearing glasses between -1 diopters and -1.50 diopters* then this course might be the just thing you need.
* If you’re over -1.50 diopters, or have presbyopia, this isn’t the course for you. This course is very specifically designed for one scenario, and one scenario only. You’re dealing with very low myopia. You don’t have any other eyesight related issues. We’re not dealing with astigmatism (ghosting without cylinder correction), we’re not dealing with presbyopia, we’re not dealing with multiple diopters here. This will only work if you have simple, “last diopter” low myopia.
Think of this as a specialty program (which it is). Unlike BackTo20/20, which works for a wide range of myopia scenarios, this course is highly tailored to solve one problem, and one problem only - the pesky last diopter.
You don’t actually need to pay for this course. I will just tell you, like the headline above already says - you’re missing stimulus at the last diopter range, especially if you have a lot of close-up time, and some ongoing not totally ideal smartphone habits.
And no, I’m not going to tell you that you need to get rid of that phone or quit your job. The last diopter is fixable, while having screens in your life.
How do you get that additional stimulus? I’ll give that away too: Plus lens use. That’s why this approach won’t work for those with presbyopia, and also why it’s a course rather than just the usual freebie approach. Because there’s plenty that can go wrong when adding plus lenses to the mix.
Unfortunately though, they require a delicate touch. It took me literally years, and experimenting with hundreds of participants, to figure out how to get plus lenses to work, without all the frustrating side effects you likely read about before online. No scare tactic here - if you just want to throw on some reading glasses and see how that works out, I’m not here to stop you (but also, I wouldn’t suggest it).
If you’re a member of our (free) forum, you likely already know this: The last diopter course has been the mythical unicorn that has been rumored to exist, for a number of years.
Rumored because I’ve admitted it, but I’ve also endlessly said that I’m not ready to release it. I can’t put something out that doesn’t work consistently. And all approaches using plus lenses always failed at some point, especially when we tried to apply one way to everyone. It was vexing for the longest time. And to be perfectly honestly, even I myself took the long route and didn’t use plus lenses for my own last diopter - though at the expense of taking years longer to get to 20/20.
It turns out that I could have saved years if I had known how to ‘dose’ my stimulus for the last diopter.
And this is why I’m not giving it away - out of all the things I ever had to figure out about myopia reversal, this took the most time and tweaking. And even now you and I may nave to talk sometimes to make sure your plus lens use will work for your specific case.
Remember that I have over 1,500+ instructional guides for free, on the site. Including a whole low myopia section. In general my approach is to share resources, especially if doing so doesn’t require me to spend time. 1,500+ guides, many videos, a large Facebook group, forum, lots of tools are entirely free for your use.
I made it past the last diopter without a course. Many others have as well. I’m not holding the last diopter hostage. I told you above that it’s usually a stimulus problem. You can very possibly figure it out yourself, given enough time and and trial and error.
Use this course if your time is too valuable for long experiments.
Use this course if you want to be able to get direct feedback from me.
If you’ve been stuck at the last diopter, and you want maximum stimulus directions, use this course.
I’ll say this: Don’t go buy this course if you just made it to the last diopter range. Or if you’re just finding EndMyopia. Take the time and see if you can figure it out with just the tools on the site. It may be easy for you, if you have some good distance vision habits and hobbies, and not much screen time.
I want you to buy this course only if you’re stuck at the last diopter, and you’re in a place to fully appreciate this roadmap. If you’re hesitant, if you’re thinking “ehh, maybe”, then truly, don’t buy this course. I’m not in urgent need of money, and if you’re not in definite need of a solution, there’s no need to splash out for this one. No need to hard sell you on this.
It’s not exactly cheap. Compared to the Rough Guide, or even BackTo20/20, this is obviously more of a “speciality” program. Meant to be used only if the conventional stimulus and strain management approach aren’t enough for you.
And if you’re new(-ish) here, do take a moment and look back at how long this resource existed without this specific course. Literally, decades. This isn’t some afterthought add-on or up sell or thrown together list of basic tropes.
You may even see some of the old threads in the forum, where I literally say that “eventually, one day, we may have this course”. It took me a long time to get here, to this point, where I’m comfortable enough to say, yes you can buy it because yes, it will work for you.
Packaged into easily applied individual sessions to get you through each step of applying stimulus, building a habit, and seeing real progress with your low myopia.
This will work with your 9-5 job in front of a computer, it will work if you have a bit of a smartphone habit, it will work while being busy and without having to make any major sacrifice to your existing lifestyle.
A Few Rules: Must be 25 or older to participate.
No Hong Kong residents, sorry.

Available by request only. Since this is a specialty course, I only have it available by request. Please send a detailed message including your current diopters. I do this course a few times per year, so there may be some wait time (if spaces are still available).
Zoom Chat with Jake
This is the ONLY course that includes a live video chat with me. I know no better way than to get to the bottom of nagging last diopter challenges, than talking through your day-to-day, diopter use, habits, and me explaining trick and tools for the last diopter.
The course will first include a series of sessions to establish your baseline. Everything from ciliary spasm to ghosting / double vision, regular lens use, habits, hobbies to better understand your current scenario.
Then we'll have a chat about how that whole picture fits into reversing the last diopter, which you will then put into action throughout the following sessions of the course.
Note: Basic course includes one Zoom chat. The option for six zoom chats, as available (limited spaces).
The course is built on a series of sessions, set to release at the correct intervals for when you should take action.
This is a highly flexible approach and will work with your own lifestyle and schedule. As long as you do at least one session per week, you will get the desired results. As you hopefully already know, the last diopter is a bit of a project and will likely take at least one to one and a half years (in most cases) to reasonably resolve. You will only need the 40+ sessions in this course and some habit adjustments, along with some time for the stimulus to do its job.
And every step of the way you have direct access to me via the support forum. I check daily and answer all of your questions myself.
Remember: No presbyopia, no astigmatism (above half diopter for distance, ideally no cylinder needed and no ghosting present). No other vision issues - we never deal with medical issues, and this course is only intended for simple, straight low “last diopter” myopia.
If you’re not sure, please do contact me before signing up.
Also remember what I said previously about using this course only if you’re really sure you need it. Plenty of people are able to get to 20/20 with just the DIY approach or the basic BackTo20/20 course. This is a speciality program built for a very specific purpose: Challenging Last Diopter cases.
You get the option to go fully deep on this one. We will dig in and create a daily journal to review every aspect of your eyesight - and lifestyle as well. Don't worry, this can be your entirely private experience (or share with me in our video chat). This will include a fair bit of what can hold back your vision in a simple strain /stimulus sense. Also though we'll get entirely into what is making your life great and exciting, and where perhaps you may have been letting yourself down on getting the full potential out of this limited time experience (that is our lives).
Of course I can help with all the basic structural aspects of vision improvements. I can also offer thoughts and ideas on how to get your state of mind to a 20/20 place. Remember, I used to be a boring finance guy and since discovered paragliding, kitesurfing, flying ultralight aircraft, many years of vagabonding around the world, and getting into all sorts of creative trouble. I know all about 'getting stuck in the daily grind' and forgetting about what life can, and maybe should be.
We'll include everything in the vision journal and review what is holding you back from 20/20 eyesight. You don't have to get all philosophical and lifestyle-review, though many have said that this aspect of the program has been some of the most fun and instructive. You're welcome to take advantage of the insights of the guy who left a lot of the 'boring life' behind, and I have plenty of thoughts to share on the practical aspects of really going 20/20 on all aspects of our limited time here in the world.
Here’s the thing: If you’re not completely happy with spending money and supporting a great resource (ie. if it doesn’t live up to your expectations), then I definitely shouldn’t take your money.
So. If you’re not happy for any reason at all, you let me know, and I’ll refund your money. Super simple. Just make sure it’s within 60 days so we can process a refund and also working with a reasonable time frame to explore the program and your progress.
Lessons are delivered into your online account. Just log in and get the latest ones. They are on a timed release to keep you from skipping ahead and missing out on any one of the steps.
Currently the course includes 42 lessons. The exact number may change over time as I continually tweak the course for best results.
E-mail me before signing up if you’re unsure whether the course is suited for you. As far as any specific scenarios that we have to address, I do check in daily to answer your questions.
Yes. I personally answer all questions in the support forum. You will have full access to it, and I am there every day to answer questions.
Availability of the course varies depends on how many participants I currently have. Since I provide all support (and also have other obligations), the course may be unavailable for sign-up. I don’t maintain a waitlist currently - best would be to check back periodically.
Unfortunately, no. You have to be over 25, not be living in Hong Kong (or paying via a Hong Kong registered card), and have to have a method of payment in your own name.
P.S.: This is a semi-serious project and adventure for your eyesight. It is entirely possible that you get pulled into a rabbit hole of re-evaluating screen addictions, life, outdoor hobbies, priorities, and generally potentially getting a sense that there’s more to life than glasses and staring at content. This might not be you at all, but then again ... not needing glasses anymore has had far reaching effects for more than a few participants over the years.
Enjoy this process with all the due caution and open mind it deserves, this might be the first time in a long time that you can see the world as it is, and not from behind a pair of plastic lenses.

And I continue adding to this catalog so you may see more by the time you sign up for the guide.

This one is simple. You either love the guide and it was money well spent, or if you think otherwise you just e-mail me, and I send you a full refund. I make my own money in the stock market, what you spend on endmyopia is for the resource - if it fails you, you're not expected to pay. Very straightforward. This guarantee is for 60 days from purchase (because payment processors make it kind of a pain to issue refunds past a couple months window). *No refunds for purchases made from India.
The guide is delivered in an online course
format. The system will send you login
details once you complete the sign-up.
Le Rough Guide doesn't include one-on-one
support. For that you'll want BackTo20/20,
which is currently invite only.
Unfortunately we're unable to accept
participants from Hong Kong. Not our
choice!
No. Nothing is definite. But it's quite
likely that you'll have success.
Since BackTo20/20 includes my personal
support, I only have limited availability. If
I have openings, I'll let you know.
Course access is lifetime, no restrictions.
*(Our refund requests average less than 0.5%, but for India over 40% - what can I say.)
