With astigmatism, avoid noticeable double vision / ghosting.  If you want to lower it, start with differentials.  Less noticeable at that distance.

What to make of the numbers is, the optometrist will give you worst case, and worst case varies from day to day and lighting and everything.  You want 20 measurements of your own, see changes and ups and downs, add an optometrist opinion, have a nice overall picture of situation and progress.

A singular optometrist opinion means not a whole lot.  So did your eyes get worse?  If you have measurement results, at least once every few weeks, on a bit of a chart, that’ll tell you.  One optometrist visit, maybe less so!
